The Education Department offers courses, workshops and guided tours for all age groups. Traditionally, special emphasis is placed on work with school groups for whom there is a variety of suggested topics. Special activities for children include extensive holiday programmes and birthday parties. Children from the age of 6 may borrow an art suitcase which guides them through the collections, or may discover the museum under the guidance of an art educator on Sundays at 3 pm. In addition to our acoustic guide for adults, an audio guide for children is available in the collection. It is produced in cooperation with Lilipuz, the children’s radio programme on WDR 5.

For its educational activities, museum kunst palast has its own studio and exhibition areas which will be extended and reconstructed from September 2005 and reopened in spring 2006.
